These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the KisanGuru mobile application (Android package com.kisanguru.app, also on iOS) and the website at https://kisanguru.net (the “Services”), operated by SixBrain Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By downloading, registering, or using KisanGuru you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who may use the app
You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent or guardian’s consent if required by law) and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. You must use a mobile number that you own or are authorised to use.
KisanGuru is designed for farmers and agri-related users in India, with a focus on Gujarat.
2. Account and OTP login
You log in with a one-time password sent to your mobile number. You are responsible for keeping that number and device secure and for activity on your account. Tell us if you believe someone else is using your account.
We may refuse, suspend, or close an account that is abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.
3. The service is free guidance, not professional advice
KisanGuru is a free information and productivity tool. Crop calendars, fertilizer or irrigation suggestions, disease-scan results, weather, mandi prices, and government scheme summaries are for general reference only.
They are not agronomic, medical, veterinary, legal, or financial advice. Before you spray, apply fertilizer, sell produce, or apply for a scheme, verify details with a qualified expert, laboratory, APMC, or the official government source. We are not responsible for crop loss, health effects, missed scheme deadlines, or commercial decisions based on the app.
4. AI disease scanner
The scanner uses automated image analysis. Results can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always confirm a diagnosis before using pesticides or other treatments. You are responsible for how you act on any suggestion.
Daily or monthly scan limits may apply as set in the app.
5. Mandi prices and schemes
Mandi prices are sourced from public datasets such as AGMARKNET / data.gov.in and may be delayed, incomplete, or converted for display (for example shown per 20 kg). Government scheme information is summarised from public material and can change without notice. Always check the official website or office before you apply.
6. Your content
You retain rights to photos and text you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and moderate that content so the Services can function (including showing listings to other users).
You must only upload content you have the right to use. Do not post illegal, misleading, defamatory, or infringing material, or items that cannot lawfully be sold. We may edit, hide, or remove listings and directory entries, including after admin review.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse OTPs, attempt to bypass security, or access another user’s account
- scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Services except as allowed by law
- upload malware or harmful code
- use the Services for spam, fraud, or any unlawful purpose
- harass others or interfere with other users
8. Intellectual property
The KisanGuru name, logo, app design, and our original content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them except as needed to use the official app. Third-party trademarks (for example Google Play or App Store) belong to their owners.
9. Third-party services and links
The app uses or links to third parties such as SMS gateways, Firebase, Google Maps, weather APIs, data.gov.in, and AI providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party websites or outages.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the Services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, be limited, or be withdrawn. Maintenance, network issues, or force majeure may cause downtime.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost profits, crop loss, data loss, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Services or reliance on any content.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to INR 1,000, or the amount you paid us for the Services in the previous 12 months (if any), whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence, where such a limit is not allowed).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal data. It forms part of these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and delete the app.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Gujarat, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer law.
